Proprietary connectors are a pain, but what are you going to do? I purchased this for my 2010 A8 since I use an Android phone. The sound quality is fantastic on my B&O sound system. I have never had any issues.

FYI, I pulled the fuse panel cover on the right side of the glovebox and drilled a hole so that I could re-route the extension cable easily.

Audi A6, came with the Ipod cable in the glove compartment. Hated it, wanted to use my phone and as my car stereo. Not only does it work, I think it sounds better and best of all you can control the stereo from the phone. I recommend this little cable, if you want to move your phone file free, it is a best choice.

Fast reading speed. and the end is protected by the rubber. Nice item!
